riccicomoto is a well known DJ and producer living in Hamburg. For the last few years he´s groove´n clubs and festivals in and around Hamburg with his special and unique sound. For years he has been experimenting with a PC, different sound machines and a 22 year old Yamaha organ to create a sound that’s very original, he then tests on non suspecting listeners in clubs and events…up until now he has had no complaints…or casualties. His DJ sets are always diversified and begin mostly with casual-jazz and cliff-hanging score-tunes…gliding over with perfect dub-techniques and roof raising baselines to initiate the ultimate electrodubtechnojazz-experience… riccicomoto’s sound is never intrusive and you will feel just fine, movin’ your ass at the dancefloor or head nodding taking a drink at the bar… His musical roots are jazz, soul, triphop, ambient, dub, electro funk, score music, electronica, deep and dub-house based. his productions are often reminiscent of cinematic tunes in a dubbed and jazzy way… riccicomoto’s production sound is influenced by artists like Rockers Hifi, Massive Attack, Noiseshaper, David Holmes, Kruder&Dorfmeister, Walkner and Moestl, Rodney Hunter, Makossa and Megablast, Tosca, Thievery Corperation and many more…… but also the music of Ennio Morricone, Zbigniew Priesner,Lalo Shiffrin John Lee Hooker, Henry Mancini, Gilles Peterson, James Brown, Shirley Bassey, Prince and lots of other unforgettable artists who have influenced him on his way… Of course he tries to give the sound his own edge, but he can´t and won´t be separated from the vibes of the above mentioned artists that have influenced the sound for which he is known for.

About Summer Rain Recordings

Summer Rain Recordings, established in the summer of 2007, is a record label with a difference. Every artist signed to the label donates a minimum of 5% of their royalties for every release to NextAid, or a charity of their choice, and we match their percentage donation from the label profits from the release. ioda, our distributor, also donate 25% of their fees for each of our releases to next aid too. As well as a fine selection of fresh new music from new artists, you will find guest releases from more established artists who wish to give something back in the form of royalty donations to charity. We are not about greedy profits, unfair contracts, fame and fortune, we are about excellent music, honesty, fairness, and giving something back to the world in which we live in.
